The interior was dominated for a long time by a rebel army (until 1957) that subsequently lived on as the 'Imamate State of Oman', in exile. Oman, initially called 'Muscat and Oman', then 'Sultanate of Oman', joined the UPU in 08/1971. In the same geographical setting, and time, we also find "Dhufar", equally prolific in stamps by. ![]() They were later published by the colorful London 'businessman' Feigenbaum. Stamps with the country name State of Oman or Oman Imamate State were initially issued by insurgents and have not been used in Oman. Oman is located in the south of the Arabian Peninsula and consists of more than 90 percent desert. The stamps on the stamps are not postmarks and are usually printed with the stamps. State of Oman stamps were made and distributed by a merchant and have never been postage valid in Oman. ![]()
